Common Questions About Our Services

What is telepsychiatry?

Telepsychiatry is the delivery of psychiatric care through secure video conferencing. You can meet with your provider from home, work, or anywhere with internet access. It's HIPAA-compliant and just as effective as in-person visits for most conditions.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we accept most major insurance plans including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, Optum, Humana, Medicare, and Medicaid. We also offer self-pay options.

How quickly can I get an appointment?

Most patients are seen within 24 hours of booking. We offer same-day and next-day appointments for urgent needs.

What states do you serve?

We are licensed to provide telepsychiatry in Oregon, Texas, and Florida. You must be physically located in one of these states during your appointment.

What conditions do you treat?

We treat depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, OCD, panic disorder, insomnia, postpartum depression, and other mental health conditions.

Do you prescribe medication?

Yes, as a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, Bright Setorglo can prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, including controlled substances when appropriate.

Is telepsychiatry as effective as in-person care?

Research shows telepsychiatry is equally effective as in-person care for most mental health conditions. Many patients find it more convenient and comfortable.

What do I need for a video visit?

You need a device with a camera and microphone (smartphone, tablet, or computer), a stable internet connection, and a private space. We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.

Can you help with ADHD?

Yes, we provide comprehensive adult ADHD evaluations, including diagnostic assessments and medication management. We also offer referrals for behavioral therapy and coaching.

What if I'm in a crisis?

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or go to your nearest emergency room. Our telepsychiatry services are not for immediate crisis situations.

How long are appointments?

Initial evaluations are typically 60 minutes. Follow-up medication management visits are 15-30 minutes. Therapy referrals are coordinated separately.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is needed. You can book directly online or by calling our office. We believe in making mental health care accessible.
